Wisdom Teeth Treatment
Wisdom teeth are the last set of permanent teeth in the mouth and usually appear between the ages of seventeen and twenty-five. They are called "wisdom teeth" because they usually appear at a time when a person is considered more mature or "wise".
However, many people do not have enough space in their mouths to accommodate this set of teeth, which can lead to a number of oral problems, including:
-
Gum pain
-
Tooth decay
-
Periodontal disease
-
Cyst formation
In this case, the wisdom tooth may need to be extracted to prevent damage to other teeth. If you have any questions, you should consult your dentist to decide on the best plan for you.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is a dental procedure that increases the volume of tooth bone. It is often used in cases of dental implants. Tooth bone may have lost its original volume due to trauma, tooth disease or tooth loss, so this surgery is usually necessary to provide enough bone to support the implant.
Bone grafting can be done using different materials, including autologous bone graft, synthetic bone powder, xenograft, or a combination of these materials.
